We got to the job site about noon on Tuesday after having to take some time to straighten up some stuff at the shop and load the truck.
Sundown saw us back at the array site preparing for the next phase of work to happen early in the morning.

Most of what had to be done was the exothermic welds. Here’s Denise doing one Tuesday evening.
This process never fails to tickle me with how fast it is and just what a cool process it is.

We worked till about 8 pm when we decided we’d just plain had enough. We’d been on the go since 4am and we were tired and sore.

Wednesday morning sleeping in bed at 2 am, Denise lightly touches me awake and tells me her alarm just went off. “Tell that alarm to fuck off” was my quiet but sincere reply. 😄😄🤷‍♂️
But there’s no rest for the wicked, so we got up anyway, the groans and curses coming from our lips echoing the protest of our rather over used bodies.
After doing our best to wake up with the help of coffee and Advil, we rolled out the door at 3am and got after doing what we came here for.
It was a pleasant and quiet morning and the 75 degree weather was agreeable.

As always, the changing colors of the pre-dawn sky was beautiful.
