It was too cold to work so we turned around and went back inside the trailer and waited for the sun to come up. Things were still frosty, even after the sun came up!😄😄🤷♂️
I wish pictures did justice to just how big, heavy, and miserable this 500 MCM wire actually is. It is so difficult to get off of this pool and down the pipe with just two people. We did have the videographer from our solar parts supplier here, documenting us sweating , struggling and cussing at pulling in the first two runs so that oughta be in a video at some point lol.
We had the first two of three runs pulled in before breakfast!
Of course, we didn’t eat breakfast till 10:30.😄😄
The last run of 500 MCM required us to get a little creative to pull in a bit more wire than our tugger was capable of. It is nice to have equipment on site!
Yes-Denise is only 4‘12“ and requires a mini ladder, but make no mistake. These panels are huge. 😄😄
Denise making sure that all of the terminals are torqued to the proper spec.
By the end of the day we had one disconnect, and one panel, completely terminated, made up and finished! It is a significant milestone in our journey to build the system.
