The last few days of the hunt in sort of desperation, Denise and I even split up-she took the race exploder with the rifle and I took this side-by-side. We were never more than a couple miles apart, but it allowed us to glass different areas where we kept seeing elk, but we needed to pinpoint their location.
It did not work out for us, at least as far as elk are concerned. But collectively, we got to see a lot of deer and other wildlife and we were able to talk to each other on the phone as we were doing so. It was kind of fun.
And here we are meeting up as the last hunt day Drew to a close. It was an unsuccessful hunt from the standpoint of putting meat in the freezer, but it was successful in the fact that we had a good time and got to see a lot of cool stuff. Sort of bittersweet.
We had a trail beer to celebrate the beautiful weather, the amazing rising full moon, and who knows, maybe next year we will be back in action!
I guess this means that we are gonna have to hit up @wash11 to fill our freezer this year.
I wonder if we can get a discount? LOL!
