On Saturday morning, while @wash11 and @Yarder ran around and got cars and beach chairs ready, it was my job to “assist “ the girls dress up. 😍😍😍 It’s a pretty nice job to have!😄😄 Basically, I just make sure their music stays playing, the get drinks when they need them, and if any clothes or other items need fetched or delivered from room to room, I run around and take care of that so they can just focus on having some fun and dressing up.

The day went by way too fast, and I hardly took any pictures for some reason. I did really like these two wagons, however, and managed to snap a bunch of pictures of them Saturday and Sunday morning.

I did remember to snag a selfie of the four of us as the sun went down Saturday evening. we’d had a great day!

Sunday morning we left Havasu after breakfast and continued on up the I 40 towards home at a leisurely pace.

This was fun! All the years that I have lived in Mojave County and driven by this place I somehow never noticed this big route 66 sign. You can park your car under. Ol’ Yeller fit with a few inches to spare.

There was a couple there happily snapping pictures of Joel‘s galaxy and this truck under the sign. They had their son with them. It turns out he was about to have a second birthday and the theme of the birthday was cars so his parents were snapping pictures of cars.
I let his dad put him on the seat of old yeller and pressed the horn button thinking the kid would be excited about the really loud airhorn the truck has and would wanna hold the button and use the horn some more. That didn’t quite work out, though, as the horn scared the crap of the little kid, and he started crying and had to be removed from the truck!😄😄🤷‍♂️

We stopped for lunch at the somewhat famous “Mr D’z”, which is actually owned by our neighbors and their family. Ironically, I had never eaten there until this day.

We finally made our way back to Fort Rock, and I rounded all of us up for one last selfie for the trip. We all had a great time and look forward to getting to cruise the old cars around or maybe go to some more car shows or events in the future.👍👍
