Transformers!

More than meets the eye!😄😄
This one is kinda special-it takes the 480 Delta from the old generators and turns it into 480/277 Wye so the inverters can use it.
For those of you who don’t understand Delta and Wye-that’s electrician speak for we are gonna take 480 volt power, mix it up in this magical gray box, and it’s going to come out the same but different 480 volt power. 😄😄🤷‍♂️

After taking some careful measurements, Denise put knockout holes in the bottom of the transformer to line up with our conduits.
The Milwaukee cordless knockout tool is hands down one of the best tools we have ever bought-total game changer and time saver!!

Transformer number one on its way to its home.
God, I love our crane! It makes our life so much easier!

Transformer number two flying on its way to its home next to the first one.
This transformer takes the 480/277 from the inverters and steps it down to 208/120 for the building to use.

By about 3:30 Thursday afternoon we had both transformers set and all five of our aluminum post anchored.
For us, that was the end of our short week here, as we had doctors appointments in Kingman on Friday, so we loaded everything up and hit the road-unfortunately right into the blinding setting sun. ☀️

It had been a long day and a long week-so an energy drink and a homemade cookie kept me going the second half of the day till we got home.
My hair was as excited about the cookie as I was!😄😄
