We left the shop at 3:30 am to make a bonsai run to the job outside of Flagstaff to make sure our conduits were undamaged and un moved ahead of today’s concrete pour. We rocked Denise’s lesbian-mobile, I mean Scissor Lyft, I mean Subaru, to make the turn and burn trip easier.
There wasn’t much point in bringing a truck because if any of our conduits were moved, digging them out of the compacted fill to fix them would be a nightmare of a job likely requiring a vac truck.
We were super happy to find that the conduits were all right where we left them and the contractors that did the backfilling, compacting and rails/rebar did a really nice job.
With everything looking good, it was time for a quick selfie, then back in the car to haul ass back to the shop where we had seemingly a million things awaiting our attention.
