Today was a high pressure day; we are waiting on parts to show up to complete some necessary work, and we are getting down to the wire time wise to get this system operational or we face expensive penalties, so every minute counts, and even a small mistake at this point can be very costly.
Additionally, we have a customer who we have to spend a day with on a separate project in order to get their final inspections and that has to happen this week or they risk their building permits lapsing. No pressure.
As if that’s not enough, hurricane Priscilla down in Baja is pumping massive amounts of moisture our way and record rainfall and emergency level flooding is expected all over the southwest starting tomorrow. That’s a real concern for getting work done and getting access to our off grid sites that are down dirt roads.
Anyway, the heat is on, and we’ve been in high gear all day getting whatever we can done.
I wanna take a moment and say how friggin awesome these combo drill/tap bits are that are rated to be used in impact guns. I have no idea how they don’t just self destruct in an impact gun-but they don’t and they kick ass. I’ve got about a dozen holes in steel and a hundred in aluminum on this 1/4-20 bit and it’s still going!
By 3 in the afternoon clouds were starting to move in, the wind was picking up, and some scattered showers were visible in the distance.
The edge of the storm system was approaching.

Sunset saw another panel mounted. And also the delivery truck with our parts just leaving after delivering the parts we expected first thing in the morning. 🙄
So now it would be a late night trying to get the just delivered parts installed, and everything buttoned up in preparation for the coming rain storm.😬😬
