Again-there’s a huge difference between big work trucks and small 4×4’s when it comes to bad weather. The former is nerve-wracking and risky, the latter can be fun and easy.
Several days after we got home from the job up on the snow covered mountain, another storm rolled through our area, alternately covering us in snow, then mud, then snow, and mud again.
Denise and I were home grinding it out in the office, and also running back and forth between our place and @wash11 place taking care of their place while they were gone on beef deliveries, and getting re-routed across half of Arizona on their own trip that was fraught with road closures, equipment failures, and storm related problems.
This time Denise and I had it easy, as the Mud Taxi makes sloppy weather actually fun. 😄😄
Here’s the highlights from that adventure:
This is Stella-AKA The Crazy Polar Bear Bitch, and the colder the weather, the happier she is. 😄😄
Here she’s soaking up the icy mud and snow like you or I would sunbathe. 😄😄🤷♂️
Snow quickly turned to mud…
…Then back to snow again!
Inevitably, this snow melted and turned to mud too.
Fortunately, we were on our home turf for several weeks taking care of office work and things that needed attention closer to home, with our main task being to prepare for what is our biggest single job ever-which has a rapidly approaching start date. So while we were getting to relax a little on the outside, the reality is that the pressure and stress of getting everything lined up for the upcoming project was ratcheting up by the day…
