This week has been another challenging week so far.

Monday had us working pretty close to home on a small job that I totally forgot to get pictures of, along with some work in the shop that needed done.
We were back on our big job by early Tuesday morning to button up a few little loose ends that needed attended to before concrete could be poured. What should have been a simple 8 hour day turned into a long day of straightening out issues with other contractors and inspections-probably mostly due to the distractions of the holiday weekend.
That meant we had to stay the night and get up at 2am Wednesday morning to do the work that needed done.
Things were going well until just about daylight when we noticed our work lights flicker a couple times and the generator make some funny noises.

So that prompted a generator repair attempt, because even though it was growing light out, we still needed the generator to run our jackhammer to drive a half-dozen ground rods.

Is it a bad sign when gas is dripping out of the air cleaner?😄😄🤷‍♂️
Long story short, I think the needle and seat gave up, and that’s a repair that is beyond the scope of what time we had-and maybe not even worth doing on a Harbor Freight generator.
But we still needed to run that jackhammer, so what to do?

Well, thankfully we have a pretty legit power system on our work trailer and several hundred feet of extension cords. 😄😄

By noon, we had triple checked all the conduits for placement, built our ground grid, passed our two underground inspections, and braced up our conduit racks to prepare them for backfilling and concrete.
And with that, we are done with this job for a couple weeks until concrete is poured and cured, so it was time to haul ass to home base for the next adventures.
