This week, we have been doing something kinda fun for a change.

We have been in Vegas at the RE+ convention.
Think of it as sort of a SEMA show for renewable energy.
It’s massive and mind-boggling.
50,000+ attendees swamp the entire Venetian and Caesars conference center.
It’s a chance to get a peek at what’s happening and what is coming in the green energy sector.
For us, it’s also a chance to meet some of the people who manufacture or work for the manufacturers of the products we use.
And we find ourselves in a pretty unique position-a tiny company, consisting of just Denise and I, cursing the booths with all the big fish. And believe me-there are BIG fish in this pond-the amount of money at stake and size of some of these companies is crazy. And every once in awhile, we mention who we are and what we do, and someone is like” OMG! You are the people that did THAT job! So nice to meet you!” Or we will show them a picture of some stuff we have done and they are impressed enough to take note or get other people to look at what we’ve done.
In certain small circles, it seems, we’ve been noticed and appreciated and we have sort of a fan club. It’s an honor and makes us feel pretty good about the efforts we’ve made to do good work.

Anyway, the show there’s lots of crazy cool stuff to see, and I thought I’d try and get some pictures of stuff that I thought was neat or interesting to share with you all-so without further ado…

Here we are at the show!

Denise shopping for some little batteries. 😄😄 😳
The utility scale stuff is impressive. These batteries are basically 20-30’ sea containers built into battery packs with capacity being quoted in the 4-6 megawatt-hour range.

Utility scale inverters. It’s hard to grasp just how powerful these are.

A utility scale battery from Discover Batteries scaled down for commercial and industrial use.
You will be seeing more on these from us soon!

Denise just had to fondle the big wire!😄😄

Robots and autonomous machines are becoming a big part of this.

A tool we wish we had. It’s can accurately drill and place ground anchors even in hard rock with its percussion rotary hammer and uses a skid steer or excavator as its carrier.
If only we had a spare 70+K laying around. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah-she rode the mechanical bull!😍

I have a little more that I will try to share later.
