We had been on the road for a good hour before the sky began to change colors.
Our first stop was for a meeting with one of our vendors to talk about possibilities and what we were all up to and what we were seeing in the industry. That was an informative and positive meeting.
Once that was done, we headed back out to the big project we just wrapped to meet with some of their personnel for some training on their new power system.
Cliffs notes:we told them to not touch anything and make sure to not discharge the batteries to low. 😄😄🤷♂️
I forgot to get pictures of that, but it was mostly me talking for an hour or so. 😄
Another item on our to do list was to please the county inspector and prove that some particular fasteners were torqued to factory specs. We were supposed to meet him onsite to randomly test some-but our schedules didn’t match up.
So he agreed to accept a report generated by our fancy torque wrench-which is one of the reasons we bought it in the first place.
The irony is-we had fully intended to log all of these when we did the install in the first place, but we had some issues with figuring out the data logging and gave up because we were on a time crunch and gave up. We should have figured it out then, because today we had to go back and torque 205 fasteners again to generate the report-but honestly, nobody has ever cared about these before. 🤷♂️
The wrench is pretty cool, although a bit large and cumbersome. It lights up green and beeps when you hit the target torque.
It’s also supposed to be able to use the power ratchet to run the fastener down to close to the target torque so you can tighten and torque them quickly-but we haven’t had much luck with that feature.
Here’s Denise changing settings on her big red tool. 😄😄
And I had a couple of really good cookies today-because I was really good today!🍪😄😄
As usual-we had to drive into the rising sun to get to where we were going, and then into the setting sun to get home. 🙄
